About Us

LIQUID JUNGLE MEDIA

Liquid Jungle Media is the story of 2 passionate people working together for more than 15 years. Our joint adventure began with underwater filming and photography in Egypt, but soon expanded to the “topside” world and its challenges. Working with producers, independent film‐makers, but also environmental research groups (Hepca, Greenpeace, Boomerang for Earth Conservation, Tethys) and artists (Maura Biava, Elspeth Diederix, Yousry Nasrallah) since our early years as a team, we traveled the world and accumulated a variety of filming and photography experiences, which is what allows us today to be such a complete and versatile team.

Our Team

Nick Poole

Nick is a professional photographer and cameraman, above and below the water,  who can not get enough of new technologies and the challenges they represent.

Nick loves the technical aspects of camera work and is constantly researching and learning about new developments, techniques, software, accessories and devices.

He joined forces with Valentina in 2001, where they specialized in underwater filming to great depths, an activity which required strong teamwork and unwavering trust. Later, he became an expert of 360 photography and virtual tours, and experimented with  filming  just because the “topside” view offers him the possibility of producing beautiful images in a wider variety of environments.

Nick’s latest passion, because of the unlimited scope they offer, are drones.

His creativity, versatility, excellent work ethic and outstanding energy make him the ideal candidate for any photography or video production project.

Valentina Cucchiara

Professional underwater camera‐woman and photographer, full cave diver, biologist, conservationist, ecologist and passionate to the bone for traveling and creative arts. At an early age, Valentina discovered in filming and photographing the underwater a continuous source of inspiration, love and a never‐ending learning environment.

She thrives on the challenges brought by the different working environments, and she brings boundless energy, enthusiasm and great skill to her camera work. She loves working in a team, and is supportive and creative beyond expectations.

Although her main passion remains the water, Valentina is also a topside photographer/camerawoman and drone operator, working in team with Nick on most of their projects.
